  1. I, too, have an addictive personality! It is why we get on so famously! 🙂 We are almost like two peas in a pod! ❤ ❤

Smoking is a HARD thing to give up! Did you go 'cold turkey' or did you use a nicotine patch? I stopped back in January 2004. Cold turkey. I started smoking when I was 8. I smoked off and on from 8 to 11. When my dad left, I took it up full time. The only times I stopped were for Boot Camp and when I was pregnant with my kids. Do you find you miss it every once in a great while? I do. I enjoyed smoking. I smoked Salem Lights. I loved the taste. The people around me did not.

True story: Shortly after I stopped smoking, if I wanted or needed my nicotine fix, I would walk up to a smoker who had just come in from outside (where smokers all congregated) and sniff them. The first time I did it, the girl I did it to thought I had lost my damn mind! The look on her face was PRICELESS!! (Even as I sit typing this, her face pops into my head and has me laughing out loud!)

Giving up soda was harder than giving up smoking was, though. My drug of choice was Dr Pepper (or Mr Pibb if I could not find Dr Pepper). I miss my Dr Pepper. However, I am better off for not partaking of it anymore. I was up to THREE 44oz glasses per day. It was bad! I'm lucky my teeth did not rot out of my head! LOL

  2. That’s gotta be it!! ❤️❤️

I read the book Allan Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking – I had my first cigarette at 12 and the started full time at 14 – quit when I was 38 – I don’t miss it at all – the book was that good – no cravings and I had no weight gain at that time – this time is different… Lol – I sometimes go out with my friends when they smoke – that doesn’t bother me, but it’s nice not to freeze my ass off in the winter when I needed one!

I love pop – but wouldn’t say I’m addicted – I don’t buy it often – I can live with out it, but also I don’t drink caffeine because it bothers me – I get bad acid reflux from the caffeine and that manifests into panic attacks… I know – go me… Lol but if I could – Dr. Pepper would be my drink of choice too! That is another reason why we click! 😛
