Sorry for the delay, I had dinner with the girls and we stayed out a little late chatting, and as I have a cold, I went to bed early last night and didn’t blog.  As you know it was a girls night dinner and I had fajitas, they were great.  Outside of that, I had a good day, I didn’t have any cheats and with dinner I had soda water and no beer, like I normally do.

This morning, I weighed in at 156 pounds, so I lost a total of 5.5 pounds on this diet.  Which is great.  I still have to determine a scale for each diet that I test, I need to determine different categories like cost, hunger, ease of use, that type of thing, but I still need to work on how I am going to lay that out in this blog.  If you have any pointers, let me know.

Tonight is a big cheat night, I am going to a Euchre Tournament that is hosted by my second family, all the proceeds go to the breast cancer foundation as my best friends mother is a breast cancer survivor.  They are an amazing family, and I am glad to be able to participate in such a great event.  As most events go, there will be food and I have already dropped my beer off, as I will be walking over later because I do not drink and drive.

Off I go, I need a little nap to try to shake off the tail end of this cold so that I can have an enjoyable night!

Good morning, I have been suffering with a bit of a cold and so I took some night time Tylenol and went to bed very early last night.

On the diet side, I have been doing really well with this one, I have been staying regular and there is a lot of food to eat, so I’m not hungry which is good.

I have not cheated once, outside of a tsp or two of soy sauce in my stir fries, but other than that, totally sticking to the diet and in fact, I’m not eating all I am supposed to, which is probably not a good thing, but really, it is just too much.

Also, I have decided that this blog needs a bit of an overhaul, I am going to think about how I am going to fix this up a bit and I would welcome any suggestions so that I can bring great detail about each diet, and put in things that people are looking for based on each diet that I try.

I think I need a 0-10 kind of rating or bad, good, very good, very bad kind of rating for several different categories like hunger, variety, regularity, those types of things.

Anyway, I am going to be thinking about how to handle this and try to start something fresh and new next Sunday for the new diet.

So far this diet is pretty straight forward, I have pretty much been having a stir fry for both lunch and dinner and eating brown rice for breakfast due to the fact that I haven’t found brown rice cereal.  I haven’t weighed myself but I don’t feel that this diet is working as well as I thought it would, with that said, it is my time of the month, so that could be the reason I am feeling a little blah.

The diet offers a lot of food, not a wide variety but a lot, I am having a hard time getting through all the food that is required, and am not even having the vegetable broth twice each day, I only eat 1 ounce and 1 tablespoon of almonds and I am supposed to have 2 oz, I have not had a cup of either strawberries or raspberries but I did eat my apple today.

I am fairly regular today, so that isn’t an issue, I guess I’m just not feeling this diet, it is a little blah, and there is a lot of preparation in the morning, a little too much for my mornings that I am running behind a little, but I will say, the lunches are better than most diets.

Off I go, it’s a little late tonight as I was up watching American Horror Story – Hotel.

Day 2 of the diet has gone well, I find that I am mostly full and not getting through the food that I am allowed to have, again the diet is the same as yesterday, and again, I still don’t have brown rice cereal, I ate just a 1/2 cup of brown rice, about 1/2 a cup of strawberries and a few nuts – I made my lunch this morning, and I used a can of tuna, and stir fried it with rice and broccoli, to be honest, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I don’t recall if tuna was on the list, but I didn’t have anything ready, in fact, I believe I have to make rice first thing in the morning, so that I can make my lunch and I have left over chicken that I can stir fry and will take that for lunch.

For dinner, I had another stir fry – with chicken.  I haven’t been very regular, but there isn’t much fibre in this diet, I took an apple with me but like I said, I really had too much food for the day so that apple is still sitting in my purse, I will eat the apple tomorrow instead of the nuts.

Off, I go, I need to prepare for this diet, and ensure that I have everything ready to go tomorrow.

Good evening, today I started off with a new diet, and before I get to that, I wanted to let you know about my weigh in this morning – this morning – the day after my Thanksgiving dinner with my second family, I weighed in at 161.5 – Can you believe that??  4 pounds in one day??  That can’t be right, I know I didn’t eat 4 pounds worth of food, and I know that I had a few beers, but still 4 pounds, that is insane.  Also, my monthly visitor also showed up today, which may account for some of that 4 pounds, but still, that is hard to take.

So for the next 5 days I will be on the Dr. Oz Elimination Diet, it consists of the same meal each day just like the pineapple diet, and it goes like this:

Now, the only thing is I haven’t found brown rice cereal, this morning, to be honest, I actually didn’t eat breakfast and I started my diet with the first snack and had almonds.

For lunch, I had fish instead of chicken, and for dinner, well…I had chicken…probably not 4-6 ounces though, but I made a stir fry and added a tiny bit of soy sauce with broccoli and the rice.

I will do this for the rest of this week, and then I go to an annual Euchre Tournament where all the proceeds go to Breast Cancer.  On this night, I imbibe, and eat and enjoy, so that is why we have gone with another 5 day diet.

This diet is to determine if you have a food allergy, typically you would do this diet for 5 days, then start adding food back into each week to determine if you have a reaction to anything.  I was also told that it was a good way to kick start weight loss, so that is why it is on the list.
