Fast Diet – Day 5

Good morning, I totally forgot to blog yesterday.  My day did go well, there was no cheating and I stayed under 500 calories.

For breakfast I had 5 blue plums – they are really little it only adds up to about 2 actual plums – 80 calories

For lunch I had a very large carrot – about 35 calories

For dinner I had 2 eggs – extra large about 160 calories.

To be honest, I was way below the 500 calorie mark, but the day was easy and I wasn’t hungry.

Tonight I am meeting a friend and am having a couple of drinks after a training session with Google, I know that there will be refreshments and drinks and dinner out, so I am going to do my best to stay on track with less than 1500 calories.

Off I go, have to get ready for work!

Fast Diet – Day 3

Good evening, another late night for me.  Today was not a fast day, but I had to stay between 1200-1500 calories, and I think that I did pretty good.

Breakfast:  1 slice of smart bread – 75 calories – 1 Tbsp peanut butter – 90 calories – 165

Lunch – 1 cup Pineapple 82 calories – 1 small package mini oreos – 80 calories – 162

Dinner – 1 bowl of rice – 200 – teriyaki chicken wings – 700 calories – 900

If you notice, I knew I was going to have the wings for dinner at my dad’s place so, I decided to keep it very light till dinner time.

Total calories:  1227

I did a little better today, I also had my green tea, and over all it was a good day, I haven’t worked out, but been running around all day and night.

Off I go, need some rest as tomorrow is a fast day.

Fast Diet – Day 2

Good evening, today was the second day of my fast diet, and it was a good day, I have been so strict lately that this was a good day to kind of eat what I wanted to but keeping it healthy.

Breakfast:  hot water and lemon, Greek yogurt – lime flavoured – 100 calories

Lunch:  4 blue plums, 1 nectarine, pineapple Greek yogurt and some CheeCha’s which is a puffed potato chip – they are 160 calories for 68 of them and I had 34 – so 80 for that 100 for the yogurt, and about 80 for the fruit – 260

Snack – more CheeCha’s – 80

Dinner – tacos –  I had 3 soft tacos with beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and hot sauce so on average they are about 250 each – which is about 750 calories

Snack:  Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream – 1/2 cup – 130 calories

So my full day was 1320 calories, a little more that I could have done with, but I didn’t eat after 7.

Tomorrow is another 1200-1500 calorie day and I need to try to eat a little better than today.

Fast Diet – Day 1

Today was my fast day, so I needed to stay under 500 calories, and it went well.  Before I get started, yesterday, was technically day 1 of the fast diet, however, to be honest, I didn’t do so well.  I did have lunch at Jack Astor’s with my cousins, and I did so good, I had the steak, with vegetables instead of the potato, and I had a soda water with lime.  Perfect lunch, right?  Well, then we went back to my cousins house for coffee, and that is were things went south…I had a piece of cake, a few nuts, 2 chocolate covered almonds..umm…oh yeah…and some Japanese rice crackers…I would love to tell you that was it, however, it was not.  We had a birthday party to go to for my friends son, and you know what birthday parties have, they have cake and pizza, and chips, and well, that was dinner.  Again, I really have no regrets, this is life and this is how I live it.  I enjoyed the company, the festivities, my family, my friends, and food is something that we just can’t get away from.  Yes, I ate the food, but when I look back, it was a great time with lots of good conversations.

So back to today, today was a good day, I stayed under 500 calories, and ate the following:

Breakfast:  my stomach was still a bit full from the day before, so I had a cup of hot lemon water.

Snack:  I had 3 small blue plums – about 45 calories, and a clementine, about 40 calories.

Lunch:  I had 3 rice crackers and 1 extra large boiled egg.  which was about 107 calories in total.

Dinner:  I had another boiled egg – 80 calories.

I just finished a green tea, and overall I feel pretty good, with that said, I am a little constipated.  But I don’t have a headache and I’m not overly hungry.

Off I go, I still have dishes to do before I head off to bed…

GM Diet – Results – Fast Diet – Summary

Good morning, today was weigh in day.  When I started this diet a week ago, I was 160.5 pounds, and this morning I was 155.5 so that is a total of 5 pounds, this diet states that you will lose on average 7-10 pounds, but that was not the case, if you recall, I did have one cheat day, with 2 squares of pizza, but I really didn’t think that would affect it with this little weight loss.

Overall on this diet, I felt good, no headaches, it is very easy to follow, though I really missed meat, my goal is to do this diet once more but do the other version that lets you have beef, and there is a soup that goes with it as well.  I will try that one out and see what happens.

You won’t starve on this diet, however, it allows you to eat as much as you like on most days, mostly fruits and veggies, but still, I believe that I do better when things need to be measured out, one of my issues is eating too much as it is and not stopping even when I am full, so having limitless diets, might not work in my favour.

This coming week, including today, I have lots of events and plans made, so I decided to do the FAST diet, starting today and going till Saturday.  The fast diet is better if you keep it up for a long period of time, the weight loss is slow and steady and I have done it in the past.  But this week, we will see how it goes and what can be accomplished in a week

For the Fast Diet, you have 2 days, they can be two in a row, or you can spread them apart, in a week, that you have only 500 calories.  On the other days, you eat normally, this should be around 1200-1500 calories.  So this doesn’t mean you binge the other 5 days, I am going to put several rules in place in hopes that I can drop more than a couple of pounds this week.

Rules:

I will fast on Monday and Thursday, keeping my calorie count to 500.

I will drink 8-12 glasses of water each day.

I will not eat after 7pm.

I will have green tea every day to aid in my weight loss.

I will try to work out on non-fast days.
