5-Day Pineapple Diet – Summary

5-Day Pineapple Diet – Summary

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!  Today I weighed in at 157.5 which isn’t too bad considering yesterday was a big cheat day…Nope, I didn’t control myself at all.  I know, I know, but I was at a birthday party with all this great food, and when I get started I just can’t stop.  Then later that night I went to a bar with my good friend and neighbour, and you know that I had a few drinks, and of course, I drank beer…

Day 4 went well, I did have 2 pieces of pizza at the meeting I went to, and all in all, I think I could have done worse.

Overall, this diet was easy to maintain, as you had to have the same foods everyday, it did get monotonous, and a little boring.  Financially, this was a cheap diet, you only needed a few items including fresh pineapples, I bought 3 but found that I only really needed two.  I did pee a lot, and was very regular throughout this diet, I didn’t feel any fatigue or headaches, which is a good sign.  I did cheat, but only because life happened, not because the diet really lacked anything, when I was consistent, I stayed on track and when my day to day was normal, it was easy to stay focused on what I had to eat.

Today, I am off to my best friends house for Thanksgiving dinner, I know that I will be imbibing and eating to my hearts content, or should I say my stomachs content…Anyway, October so far has proven to be a very difficult month for dieting.  Too many great weekends with great friends and family, November should be better, but I will continue to do my best for the rest of October.  I have another 5-day starting up on Monday – this is the Dr. Oz Elimination Diet, it is another 5 days which takes me to my next busy weekend of my monthly girls night out dinner and a Euchre tournament.

Off, I go, need to get my things together so that I can go and enjoy Thanksgiving with my second family.

5-Day Pineapple Diet – Day 3

5-Day Pineapple Diet – Day 3

Today was a good day, I find that I am peeing a lot and I am very regular, I mean VERY regular.  This is a good thing, because lately most of the diets I have tried I seem to be more constipated then anything, so this is a nice change.

I did have a small cheat today, my dinner consisted of a small McDonalds ice cream, sans cone…I don’t really have an excuse, however, I did also buy my son a happy meal, and I did not, I repeat, did not, have a Big Mac, which I will have you know is one of my most favourite things.  Well, fast food-wise, at least…

I do find that I am hungry in the evening, but at breakfast, I am very full and really can’t eat all that I am supposed to eat – 2-3 slices of pineapple – maybe in total, I am having a slice – 1 cup of yogurt, I am only having at most half a cup and a serving of oatmeal, I eat the oatmeal first, and I put in some added items – but as previously mentioned, I just can’t eat it plain, it’s not a lot of extra stuff, maybe a teaspoon of honey – ok, maybe two teaspoons, but definitely not a tablespoon, and about 10 raisins…does that really count as too much extra added?  I really don’t think so, just making it a little more palatable.

Tomorrow is going to be tough, I was invited to an event, where I will be learning some new things about insurance (well, new to me) and they are having pizza, I am going to eat before I go, and try my best to turn down the pizza, wish me and my willpower luck.

Off I go, I need to practice my no’s and learn how to stay strong…

5-Day Pineapple Diet – Day 2

5-Day Pineapple Diet – Day 2

Day 2 of the pineapple diet is going well, though, I am not drinking as much water as I should be, but I can’t stop peeing, so that must be a good sign.  I do feel a little hungry on this diet, and I do have a bit of a headache tonight, but nothing that I can’t handle.

The diet is the same as yesterday’s diet, and it is starting to get monotonous, and I am still unclear on a few items, but am doing the best I can keeping to small to normal serving sizes.

I haven’t been working out much lately, I was so good for so long, but then I don’t know what happened, our TV has been taking a precedence and I need to stop that.  Also, my very long weekend of binging on everything I could get my hands on didn’t help.

Off I go, need to watch the new season of American Horror Story!!

5 Day Pineapple Diet – Day 1

5 Day Pineapple Diet – Day 1

I know, I know, you have been wondering where I have been, you may recall me saying in the past, I really don’t have a lot of willpower, the FAST diet didn’t go as well as I thought, however, I did maintain my weight of 155.5, with that said, I didn’t do any diets from Friday through till Monday (yesterday) and well, I gained back most of my lost weight all the way back up to 160.5 pounds.

I am trying not to hate myself right now, but life did happen, and I have no regrets, we started again this morning with the 5-day Pineapple Diet and I will keep on keeping on.

http://www.e-health101.com/2012/06/the-pineapple-diet-rapid-weight-loss-and-a-toxin-free-body-in-5-days/

This diet is pretty straight forward, and I am pretty sure that it will get monotonous as it goes as I will be eating exactly the same things everyday, maybe just a fish or chicken variation, but really the same thing every…day…

Breakfast: 2-3 slices of pineapple, 1 cup low-fat yogurt, oatmeal

Snack: 1 glass of pineapple juice, 1 slice of toasted rye bread, 1 boiled egg

Lunch: A simple broth prepared with the vegetables of your choice, grilled fish or chicken

Snack: 1 glass of pineapple juice, low-fat pineapple yogurt (or even better – you could just mix some finely chopped pineapple with plain yogurt)

Dinner: Chicken and pineapple salad

Now, I already have a few issues with this diet, today, I did everything as laid out, however, I didn’t have a whole cup of yogurt for breakfast, and I did add honey and raisins to my oatmeal, as well as a protein powder, ground flaxseed mix, as this is how I have oatmeal, I don’t know if I should or not, but I couldn’t eat it plain.

My second issue, how big a glass of pineapple juice?  I have been going with a 1/2 cup serving.

My third issue, simple broth prepared with vegetables of your choice, grilled fish or chicken – so?  How big is the piece of chicken?  Deck of cards?  100 grams?  Size of my palm?  1 cup?  I have no clue, so I tried to keep my serving size, normal, going with the deck of cards sized option.  I used Campbell’s no salt added chicken broth and added broccoli to it once it boiled…it was plain but all right.

My fourth issue, chicken and pineapple salad?  I couldn’t find a recipe for a pineapple salad, so I had a piece of chicken (one small leg) and I had a bit of pineapple.  I don’t know what a pineapple salad is, or if it is a chicken and pineapple salad.

Anyway, I will keep on keeping on, and see how this one goes, I was supposed to start yesterday, however, my office ordered lunch in and again, I have no will power, the lunch was several different kinds of pasta…no proteins and I couldn’t even wing it, the pasta was great, and I enjoyed every bite.

Off I go, gotta get ready for an early day tomorrow.  Thank you, it is nice to be back.
